Early arrival in Yerevan and pick up your rental car at the airport, then proceed to the hotel. This morning at 10:00 hours you will be met by our local representative and provided with a welcome kit which includes driving instructions, vouchers, and maps for your tour. Discover the many attractions of the nation’s beautiful capital.Drive to Armavir region. Highlights of your tour today are Armenian Vatican - Holy Echmiadzin Cathedral and Zvartnots Temple (7th century). Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

| Day 02: Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank - Sisian |

Leave the capital city this morning en route to your first stop in Khor Virap Monastery, in the region of Ararat. Enjoy the best view of the biblical Mt. Ararat and see the underground chambers in the monastery where the first Catholicos of all Armenians was imprisoned for 13 years. Continue south and visit spectacular Noravank canyon with the monastery, then proceed to Syunik region, a haven for waterfalls, plants, wildlife and peasant people, visit the majestic Tatev Monastery. Today visit to Armenian Stonehenge - Karahunge ancient observatory, then Tatev Monastery on the mountain cliff and continue to the most picturesque town of Jermuk, home many resorts and the famous Jermuk waterfall. Overnight in Jermuk.

| Day 04: Jermuk - Selimpass - Noraduz - Sevan |

Today, continue to Gegharkounik region, home to Lake Sevan, the greatest alpine in the world. Before continueing to the lake see the Selim Carvansarai - medieval Silk Road point, later visit the ancient cemetery Noradous with numerous kachkhars. Explore Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula and enjoy fresh fish from the lake. Overnight in Sevan.

| Day 05: Sevan - Dilijan |

Journey southward from Gegharkounik region to the picturesque Dilijan- Armenia’s little Switzerland. Visit magnificent Haghartsin Monastery with its age-old monuments. Continue to Goshavank monastery in the same region. Overnight in Dilijan.

This day is devoted to exploring the highlights of Lori region – Odzun Monastery with its famous book depositary and Sanahin and Haghpat Monasteries which are inscribed in the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Overnight in Alaverdi.

Early in the morning drive your way on to the second largest city Gyumri. See the city with is old and new buildings and continue to Marmashen church complex. This impressive monastic complex sits on a picturesque shelf with fruit trees above the Akhurian River, beside a stream that ends in a waterfall. Overnight in Gyumri.

| Day 08: Gyumri - Talin - Ashtarak - Yerevan |

Early in the morning leave Gyumri and start back to Ashtarak, one of the oldest towns of Armenia where there are still some archeological districts with traces of ancient civilizations.Visit Karmravor church in Ashtrarak and continue to Amberd fortress – “a fortress in the clouds”. Continue to Oshakan home to the grave of Mesrop Mashtots – the creator of the Armenian alphabet. Overnight in Yerevan.

| Day 09: Yerevan - Garni - Geghard |

Leave Yerevan for Kotayk region. Your first visit is to the Hellenic Pagan temple of Garni (1 A.D.). Continue to Geghard monastery (13th century) listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here there is an option to visit Vernissage open air market which is open only on weekends. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
